Social Media & Community Internship

Internships are unpaid. Interns should be able to commit 12 to 20 hours per week, on average. The exact dates of the internship will depend on each applicant’s availability.

Job Profile:

This is an entry-level unpaid internship. The role will entail working alongside the Converge team, finding interesting stories and happenings on the web to help voice and blog our brand. If you love social media, forum debates, generating stimulating conversation and web surfing, sniffing out fun and interesting stories, this is for you!

Role and responsibilities:

  • Update Converge’s various social media profiles, such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Tumblr etc. Find and post interesting things that voice our brand.
  • Actively participate in and initiate conversations on social media platforms and ConvergeMagazine.com
  • Help manage Converge’s online presence & community
  • Help out at concerts, festivals and other events as necessary – live social media coverage
  •  Grow our fans, friends, and followers!

Skills and abilities:

  • Interest or background in communications and social media
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Knowledge of basic grammar, punctuation, and spelling
  • Sound judgment and a strong sense of ethics
  • Experience with social media
